3. WE’RE JUST GETTING STARTED
SINCE 1957
Waterloo has emerged as an international leader in frontier disciplines including quantum computing, water security and sustainability, population health, connected vehicle technology and information and computing technology. Breakthrough research in these areas will change how we live, communicate, work, travel and connect over the next 60 years.

5. BEYOND 60 KICK-OFF LECTURE, JAN. 9, 2017
Beyond 60 — a future-focused event featuring keynote addresses by Edward Snowden and Kate Darling — saw sold-out audiences in Humanities Theatre and at viewing party locations in Kitchener, Stratford and the Student Life Centre
Waterloo’s most successful social media event ever — with nearly 13 million impressions
