Why become a VIKING Ambassador?
Many job and college applications ask you to list your accomplishments in various areas that are important to your future. As a VIKING Ambassador, you will be able to demonstrate your achievements in these areas and will be better prepared with an advantage over others you are competing against.
As a student in Viking Academy, you have the unique opportunity to graduate as a VIKING Ambassador. Students who go above and beyond the standard DHS graduation requirements to demonstrate what it means to be a student in Viking Academy will be awarded a stole to wear at graduation, signifying their hard work and accomplishments.

Requirements
Attend three (3) cultural experiences each year while you are a Viking Academy student. These include museums, performing arts, civic celebrations, and commemorations.
Successfully complete courses from at least two of the following areas for a minimum of eight semesters:
Accounting
Building Trades
Business Marketing & Management
CAD (Computer-Aided Design)
Introduction to Engineering Design
Sports & Entertainment Marketing
Welding
Photography
Complete sixty (60) hours of community service during high school. Attend at least one (1) college fair during high school.
Complete an exit interview with a panel of teachers & administrators prior to graduation.
French
Spanish
JROTC
Create and maintain a digital portfolio to reflect personal growth as a Viking Academy student.
GLOBAL Careers & Professions (GCP)
Human Geography (AP)
Modern World Issues
