Sponsor: Dupont Pioneer Property/University: Hawkeye Sports Properties - University of Iowa Marketing Goals & Objectives: Branding amongst Hawkeye Fans Promotion of a unique fan engaging experience Grapple on the Gridiron The Iowa Hawkeyes wrestling team was looking to set the NCAA dual meet attendance record, and wanted to do so in a way that would create excitement around the wrestling program Using outdoor Kinnick Stadium as a venue, Iowa was able to promote the wrestling meet to the wrestling community and draw excitement around the unique event entitled, Grapple on the Gridiron sponsored by Pioneer Iowa was able to shatter the attendance record with 42,287 attendees, beating the previous record by 26,291, and defeating top-ranked Oklahoma State in an victory. Scheduling the Grapple on the Gridiron before a Hawkeye football game helped create additional excitement and exposure for Pioneer Additional Inventory: Digital social media exposure Signage Radio Logo inclusion on event logo
