3 What is the YLC Youth Leadership Center =
the group that plans 21st CL events Students who complete a certain level of leadership and service throughout the year.

4 Leadership Get your YLC Leadership Credit and learn to be a better leader Leadership Forum (a Grady during a September advisement TBA) Leadership Credit for programs/groups during Summer school year (Earthcare, SYLI, Turner, ACFB, GYLS, Scouts, MARC, other religious or civic groups; also Grady clubs)

5 Community Service 75 hours to graduate
Hours earned outside of grading are logged into SEL next Wednesday – learn how to use 21st Century Leaders Givingpoint trouble-shooting Thursday, August 17th, 24th, 31st in the C200 Hall Core Computer Lab.

6 Upcoming Service projects

Saturdays from August 12-October 7 (not including Sept 2), 7:30am-3:30 pm (earn 9 hours) Go to the link below to check availability, hours, location and to sign up. IF YOU SIGN UP, YOU MUST SHOW UP (agencies are counting on you! In an emergency, please contact the project supervisor – sometimes Ms. Van Atta; sometimes other adults)

8 Pop-top Food Drive August 14-31
DO BRING: Ready-to-eat pop-top food items (Vienna sausages, fruit cups, ravioli, etc.) and individual serving food/drink items (individual cereals, individual chips, breakfast bars, apple sauce, packs of crackers, juice boxes etc.) DO NOT BRING: items that need to be refrigerated, frozen, or are perishable (fresh). Also, no candy, please! Bring to Ms. Van Atta’s Room (IS6) EARN ½ SERVICE HOUR PER ITEM (max. 5 hours)

9 Branan Towers Senior Center
Make crafts and play games with senior citizens at Branan Towers in East Atlanta Village Bring cake, cookies or lemonade and earn additional hours! 1-3PM, Saturday, Sept. 9th (earn 3 service hours) How to sign up on SignUpGenius (starting 8/14/17): Go to  games  Read the event description and click on the job you want to sign up for Click the "Submit and Sign Up" button Provide the information being requested and click "Sign up now"
