1 A levels

2 What are A levels? A level 3 qualification (the next level up from GCSE’s) 2 year course (for most subjects)

3 Linear 2 year courses No exams at the end of Y12
But….regular testing throughout the course May of Y13 = exams! 4 double periods per week, per subject 1 or 2 teachers per subject

4 Why choose A levels? You want to explore certain subjects in more depth You want to go to university You want a particular job/career Your enjoy academia but are not sure what you want to do yet!

6 What will I need to study A levels?
A minimum of grade 4 in English & Maths + at least 3 more GCSE’s grade C + individual subject requirements This will vary depending on the provider A willingness to study! Organisational skills Ability to manage your time
