5. Professor Emeritus Awards
Emeritus Status may be awarded by the ECC Board of Trustees to those retired faculty members, librarians, and counselors who have demonstrated excellence in teaching, provided direct assistance to students, and contributed to the development of the college throughout their years of service; and those retired administrators who have demonstrated excellence in performing the responsibilities of their office, held a leadership role within the college during their tenure, provided direct assistance to students, and contributed to the development of the college throughout their years of service.

7. SUNY Chancellor’s Awards For Excellence
No higher honor can be accorded a faculty member or administrator than the prestigious SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Excellence. This award recognizes both outstanding performance and significant contributions to institutional quality, as identified by one’s peers.
This year’s honoree joins a long list of current and former ECC faculty and staff as recipients of this prestigious award.
Honorees receive a medallion and certificate from SUNY, and a professional development award from the ECC Foundation.
