English, Environmental Studies, Film Studies, Languages & Literatures, Latin American Studies, the Office of Sustainability, and the Alan Lutkus International Film Series Welcome to SUNY Geneseo Tin Dirdamal, one of Mexico’s most controversial independent filmmakers, winner of a Sundance Film Festival award and other film prizes. Wednesday, November 9 2:30 – 3:45pm, Newton 203 Workshop: “The Making of Rivers of Men,” Dirdamal’s documentary 7 years in the making that explores the legend, lies and tragedies of a Bolivian city that went to war over water. 5:00 – 6:00pm, Welles 111 Meet and Greet with Mr. Dirdamal 7:00pm, Newton 203 Rivers of Men (Mexico-Bolivia, 2011; 76 min.) Mr. Dirdamal introduces and discusses his acclaimed documentary, set in Bolivia, that explores the lost relationship between man and water and, ultimately, between man and himself.
