1 The Skateboard The Skateboard has changed the way that many people view handrails, ledges, and stair sets. It has also given a new definition to “ Flying High “.

2 The 1950’s Skateboard This is a representation of a skateboard from the 1950’s. Back then they only rode around on their skateboards, they didn’t fly down stairs, grind on handrails, or even come off of the ground with their skateboards.

3 The 60’s Skateboard The 60’s skateboard has a couple of minor improvements like stronger, grippier, and more skate able wheels. The skateboard has become a more versatile piece of transportation as well as entertainment

4 The 70’s Skateboard The skateboard of the 70’s was really innovational. It included a wider tail for ollies, urethane skate wheels which made it easier for skaters to ride in pools, and also wider trucks that skaters could use to grind things easier. These innovations would change skateboarding forever.

5 The Freestyle Skateboard
The freestyle skateboard was used to do unique tricks that included flatland skate tricks that used a lot of balance and timing. They also used these new boards to invent new tricks such as the ollie, kickflip, casper, primo stall, and the 360 flip.

6 The Eighties Skateboard
The skateboard didn’t really change that much from the seventies to the eighties but a couple improvements were made. They added a higher tail for higher ollies, sturdier trucks so they would last longer, and better bearings so they could ride longer off of one push.

7 Rodney Mullen: The Skateboard King
Rodney Mullen is known as the skateboard King, he has invented over 150 skateboarding tricks more than anyone else who has ever skated. He was the most innovative skater ever. This is him doing a Darkslide, a trick where he grinds on the opposite side of the board than usual. Mullen invented some very unique and unusual tricks in his time

8 The Modern Skateboard The modern skateboard now has really grippy wheels, a thinner midsection, wider trucks for grinds, a thinner tail, and a wider nose so that the tail and the nose can be used interchangeably so that you can do tricks while riding backwards and so it is easier to do flip tricks and also adds strength to the overall design.

10 The End I enjoy Skateboarding myself and I am really glad that this sport has been transformed into what it is today. Without these implications skateboarding would be very boring and no one would have fun. doing it.
