3 Autocratic Manager One who gives direct, clear, and precise ORDERS
Provides detailed instructions as to what, when, and how work is to be done Employee decision making is limited Autocratic Manager – one who gives direct clear and precise ORDERS with detailed instructions and as to what, when, and how work is to be done. Employees decision making is limited. There is little or no personal involvement in the work itself.

4 Autocratic Management
Advantages Disadvantages Managers assume that workers do not have knowledge or skills necessary to plan and carry out work. Discourages workers from thinking about better ways to do things Many employees don’t respond well Efficient Employees have clear expectations of what is expected Great during emergencies Some employees prefer it

5 Democratic Leader Person in charge offers workers an opportunity to become involved in the decision making process. More preferred than the Autocratic method
