DMP Overview
GEO demonstrated its broad convening power by reaching consensus on ten principles for data management
These Principles have been widely endorsed by the global community
DMP Implementation Guidelines were published last year.
To facilitate usability and quality of data obtained through GEOSS, it is considered very important for data providers to declare their level of compliance with the principles.
All the GEOSS DMPs address the FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable) Principles
A greater degree of conformance generally leads to greater usability and interoperability of the data

6. Data Management Principles
The value of Earth observations are maximized through data life-cycle management, expressed in ten principles supporting five themes.

Helps manage the process of making tutorials, guidelines, and best practices available to the GEOSS community
Meets once per month (last Friday)
