9 Remote Sensing Satellite – AMAZON 1
PMM equipped with CCD camera and a data collecting transponder. Polar orbit. Main applications: Agriculture – Surveying of cultivated areas and productivity estimates; Water resources – monitoring of pollution in coastal areas; Disaster management. AWFI 0,45-0,52 B 0,52-0,59 G Spectral bands ( m m) 0,63-0,69 R 0,77-0,89 NIR Spatial resolution (m) 40 Swath (km) 800 Revisit period (days) 5

10 LATTES (missões EQUARS e MIRAX)
MIRAX: Hard and soft X-rays EQUARS Stratosphere Temperature, Water vapor in the troposphere ionosphere electron perturbation

12 Global Precipitation Mission (GPM-BR)
Core Satellite Sensor is a Passive Microwave Sensor, Conical Scanning Low inclination Orbit Brazilian- French contribution to GPM constellation INPE – CNES Phase Zero to be concluded in September 2010

13 GPM – Sensors specification been considered ìn phase Zero
Altitude: ~600km Sampling sector: ~130° Antenna size: ~80cm Onboard angle: ~47° (this leads to a incident angle of ~53° on Earth surface, below the Brewster angle) The effective swath would be about 1200km

14 Proposed instrument package
Passive Microwave Imager/Sounder

15 Proposed instrument package
Sub-millimetric passive microwave imager Lightning Imaging Sensor TOA Radiation imager
