4 Types of sentences Declarative . Interrogative ? Exclamatory ! Imperative ./!

7 Declarative A declarative sentence makes a statement and is punctuated by a period. Example: The puppy looks tired.

8 Imperative An imperative sentence is a command or polite request and it ends in a period or exclamation mark. Example: Please walk the dog.

9 Exclamatory An exclamatory sentence expresses great emotion or excitement and ends in an exclamation mark. Example: The house is on fire!

10 Interrogative An interrogative sentence asks a question and ends with a question mark. Example: Is it raining outside?
