ASK 2017 Discovery: Who is This Person? What does the individual offer? What are the contexts in which this individual is the best of who they are? There are very intentional participation with the individual in various contexts both familiar and novel The individual tries a variety of activities Capturing it in a profile – capturing all the contributions a person can make and the conditions to guide the job development process

7 ASK 2017 What We Don’t Want To Do? Asking: What do you want to do? – answers are made up or or what is expected to answer Running a number of “tests, aptitudes, etc.” Having only 1 or 2 experiences or the same type of experience (e.g., retail) Not having the proper supports (technology, instruction, support to employer and individual) Having the experience in a facility-based or segregated setting
