Allotments are things that need hard work but with this power point it will become simple. Allotment ->

2 The Layout of your Allotment
Traditionally, allotments are set in rows on a three year crop rotation system. On the other hand, now the style of allotment planning is a lot more looser. Information from the National Allotment society tells us that raised beds are an excellent option. Raised beds ->

3 How to take care of pests and weeds
Pests are like the public enemy number one if you have an allotment. Here are some ways you could use to keep them at bay: Hang old cd’s to scare away birds. If you want to get rid of weeds don’t use a rotator as certain types of weeds e.g. couch grass or nettles will be chopped up and spread and begin to multiply. If you like being creative , build a scarecrow.

4 compost To make compost you need:
A mixture of nitrogen and carbon to make it work. Green waste e.g. grass /leaves is high in nitrogen . Brown waste e.g. Paper/cardboard is high in carbon. <-Brown bin Green bin ->

Compost-Decayed leaves ad grass that are used as fertiliser. Couch grass-A type of weed. Nitrogen-A gas that makes of most of the air.
