Great way to meet new people and gain new experiences Colleges, Universities and Tech Schools want to see that you are invested in your school and community. Colleges are looking to admit students who will be invested in their college and surrounding community (not just during your senior year). 11 Sophomore Timeline Review high school graduation requirements, college entrance requirements, and collegiate athletic requirements. Take career interest inventories to determine possible career choices.   Maintain/build your GPA Extracurricular activities and volunteer work -leadership roles Research colleges and universities; explore possible majors and careers Visit colleges- figure out your likes and dislikes Research financial aid information Make your summer count. Find opportunities to study, volunteer, or explore an area of interest.

14 GA Futures & SS# Students must have an active GA Futures account with a complete “Profile” section that includes full LEGAL NAME, address and SS#. Students must also have their SS# on file at Archer HS. You must bring your card or a copy of your card to the counseling office. HOPE GPA and transcript requests Make sure that this is completed before the start of your senior year!
