Bid Date: Ongoing M/W/LBE 35% (20%M/W Empire State Dev & 15% Local) Workforce 40% (M / W) Description of Project: Skanska is performing CM services for a new $88 million, 55,941-SF mixed-use facility. This new conference center, designed by world renowned Architect, Renzo Piano, will be an iconic building representing the gateway to the University's campus. The project features a complex curtain-wall system, a state-of-the-art auditorium, exhibition and café spaces and meeting rooms. Bid Date: Ongoing M/WBE 20% – New York State Certification (Empire State Development) Description of Project: $45 million expansion of the existing East River Ferry system involving the development of several new ferry landings and new routes; and upgrades to existing landings. Work will require the modification of barge and gangway infrastructure. Ferry landings will feature gangway, ticket machines, lighting, trash receptacles, bicycle parking and passenger shelters. 11 James A. Farley Building Redevelopment
Bid Date: Ongoing MBE 15%, WBE 15% and SDVOB 3% - certified with the New York State Description of Project: Rehab and develop the existing Farley Post Office and Annex Building into what will become in part the new Empire Station. This will include a new Train Hall with retail, commercial and private development spaces. The total amount of space which will be developed is approximately 1.3M GSF. All new aspects of civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, elevators, escalators will be incorporated. Demolition of existing structural and architectural elements are necessary along with asbestos, lead paint and mercury bulbs and ballast are required.
