1 BIM 360 Glue Migration to BIM 360 Account Administration (HQ)
May 2016, NDA Applies

2 BIM 360 | Unified Account Administration
Autodesk BIM 360 Account Administration (aka HQ) BIM 360 Field Project Admin BIM 360 Glue Project Admin BIM 360 Plan Project Admin BIM 360 Docs Project Admin The BIM 360 team has been working on a long-term initiative to bring all BIM 360 products under a unified BIM 360 account. Last fall we completed the Field migration. All new BIM 360 products such as Docs and Plan have launched with BIM 360 Account Admin. With the integration of BIM 360 Glue, we have reached an important milestone where all BIM 360 products are now unified under a single account. BIM 360 Glue

3 BIM 360 | Account Administration (HQ)
Connecting project, user, and company partner data across the construction enterprise Key Roles: IT staff and account administrators Key Features: Project Portfolio – consolidated view of all BIM 360 projects Project Profile – shared project ID and profile Partner Companies Directory – view across all projects Master Member Directory – manage users across all projects Key Benefits: Simplified implementation and administration Shared data across the project lifecycle and departments Enables richer cross-project, cross-stakeholder workflows Enables cross project reporting and analytics HQ unifies account administration across the BIM 360 solution. It connects all BIM 360 products in a single cloud account (tenant). It maintains the centralized project, user, and subcontractor partner directories across all BIM 360 projects and products in your account. Most importantly, this connected data enables will enable better connected workflows and simpler experiences across products and will also enable cross product, and cross-project insight and analytics.

4 Account Level and Glue-specific Usage Metrics
BIM 360 Account Admin includes account level account information and metrics. From the bottom of this page, you can link to the Glue-specific usage metrics. The Glue metrics are identical to the metrics previously available in Glue Host Admin. You can view Glue metrics for both Activities and Users.

5 Account Settings Glue Host Admins show as Account Admins
HQ Account settings let you customize branding with your company logo and with the ability to edit how your company name appears throughout BIM You can also view and add account administrators. After your Glue account is migrated to HQ, all Glue Host Admins will be converted to HQ Account Admins and will appear on the Account Settings page. You can remove any user from this list after migration if appropriate.

6 Migrated Glue Users in HQ Members Directory
Glue Host Admin > Account Admin Glue Project Admin > Project Admin Glue project members > Other Member The HQ member directory is the high level directory of all users across all projects and products. The right side of the screen summarizes the number of active and inactive users. And it shows the high level role or access levels across projects. Glue Host Admins are shown as Account Admins Glue Project Admins migrate ad Glue Project Admins and are included in the Project Admin count in HQ All other Glue project members keep their Glue level roles and access and are counted as “Other Members” in HQ After migration, all Glue users will be added to the BIM 360 user directory. If a Glue user is also a Field user, the user will only appear once in the Member Directory. Because all users are based on a unique Autodesk ID, there will not be any duplicate users in this directory. If a user is in the HQ directory, that user is available to be selected for any other project or product without having to type in their complete address. And it’s important to note that at the Glue project level, all user access levels such as Reviewer remain the same. The migration does not impact Glue project team members or their access levels. Glue Project Admins and user management at the Glue project level is not changed by the HQ integration. User Status: Any activated user in Glue (or any other product service) will appear as Active in HQ. Any suspended user in Glue will appear as Inactive in HQ (unless they are active in another project or service such as Docs or Field. Any pending user in Glue will appear as Inactive - pending in HQ. Note: User access levels and permissions assigned in Glue Project Admin remain the same

7 Migrated Glue projects in HQ Project Directory
Glue projects added to HQ Project Directory During migration, all Glue projects will be added to HQ. For example, if you have 10 Glue projects and 10 Field projects, after migration, 20 projects will be listed in the master project directory. Because Autodesk has no reliable way to know that an existing Glue project should be merged with an existing Field project, projects are NOT automatically merged during migration. Customers who use more than one BIM 360 product and who may need to merge projects will see a Merge Projects feature which we will come back to a bit later. Note: For customers using more than one BIM 360 product, a Merge Projects feature is provided

8 Process for Creating a New Project that uses Glue
Before migration, you created a project in Glue and you created a separate project in HQ. After migration, you should not create a Glue project and a Field project. Instead, you create a single BIM 360 project and then you can activate one or more product services for that project. Here’s how you would create a new project that uses the Glue service: When you create a new project in HQ, activate Glue as a project service by inviting a Glue Project Admin. The Glue Project Admin receives an invitation with a link to access Glue (the same flow used prior to migration). When the Glue Project Admin clicks the link, they go right into Glue and they would start using Glue exactly as they did prior to the migration.

9 Add a New Project Step 1: Create Project Profile
Creating a project in HQ is a 2-step process. In step 1 you create a project profile. Glue did not have a project profile, so this may look more complicated, but there are only a few required fields and remember that this profile is now used across all products and services. The more information you include in the profile, the more value you will get downstream in other products, reports, and analytics. We strongly encourage all customers to take the few minutes it takes to create a complete profile when you create a new project.

10 Add a New Project Step 2: Activate Glue Service
Activate Glue by inviting a Glue Project Admin In the second step you can easily activate one or more services for a project. To activate a service like Glue, all you have to do is provide a project admin address.

11 Add Glue to an existing Project
Activate Glue for an existing project from the Services & Admins tab in Project Details Activate Glue by inviting a Glue project admin And, at any time, you can add any service like Glue to an existing project. To do that: Go to the master Project directory and click on the project you want to edit. The project details page appears. Click the Services & Admins tab. Click Activate next to the service you want to activate. Enter the project admin address and click Save.

12 Merge a Glue Project with an Existing Project after Migration
Select Glue project and existing project Select Merge Projects from More Actions Customers who use one more than one BIM 360 product may have duplicate projects after their Glue account is migrated to HQ so we have provided a Merge Project tool that appears for merged accounts. For example, if you had the same project in Glue and HQ it will show up twice in HQ after migration. To get the full benefit of unified BIM 360 projects and avoid siloed project data, we recommend that you merge Glue projects with existing BIM 360 projects as soon as possible after your Glue account is migrated. To Merge a Glue project into an existing BIM 360 Project: Go to the master Projects directory page in HQ Locate the two projects that you want to merge. (Use search or sort the project name column if you have a lot of projects.) Select the projects you want to merge and click the More Actions button at the top of the Page. Select Merge Projects from the drop down. On the confirmation page, click Merge to complete the action. After you merge the projects, the Project Directory will only show the merged project. Some merging rules: If the Glue project included a project image but the existing project in HQ does not have an image, the Glue image will be added to the Project profile and will now be available for all BIM 360 products used on that project. If a Glue project and an HQ project has a different name or project image, the HQ name and Image will take precedence.    After the projects are merged, the account admin can go back into the Project Profile and edit the image or name at any time if they prefer the Glue image for example. It’s important to note that this Merge Projects utility works only for merging legacy Glue projects into existing HQ projects. It is not designed to merge two projects that were created in HQ. Once the Glue migration is complete and legacy Glue projects have been merged, you should not create separate projects for Glue and Field. Instead, always create one BIM 360 project and activate the appropriate services as needed.

13 Merge Glue project with existing Project
You can’t undo a Merged Project, so please be sure that you have selected two projects that should be merged before completing the action.

14 BIM 360 Unified Sign In to All BIM 360 Products
Shows all BIM 360 products that a specific user can access Note: this user has access to BIM 360 Account Admin, Glue, Field, Plan, and Docs. Go to unified sign in from: Help dropdown in Account Admin or bim360.autodesk.com Some users, and especially Account Admins, may be active in one or more BIM 360 products. For example, one user may be an Account Admin but also a Project Admin for one ore more products and services. The unified BIM 360 sign in page makes it easy to navigate to different BIM 360 products. This sign in page will show only the products that a specific user has access to. In this example, the user has access to multiple products. If the user only had access to Account Admin and Glue, they would only see buttons for those products. You can Go to All BIM 360 Products from the Account Admin help menu or at the bim360.autodesk.com url. If you use multiple products, you might want to bookmark that url.

15 Additional Information
Autodesk Knowledge Network BIM 360 Account Admin Help To help prepare for the migration, we recommend that all Glue Host Admins and HQ Admins review these resources. The Autodesk Knowledge network includes a detailed topic on Transitioning from Glue Host Admin to HQ. And the BIM 360 Account Admin Help system includes detailed information on Account Administration.

16 Post Migration Checklist
Review your Account Admins and determine if you want to remove any former Glue Host Admins from the BIM 360 Account Admin list Review your Project List and look for any Glue projects that should be merged with existing Projects. We recommend that you do the Project Merging as soon as possible after mi Note: If you require assistance, Autodesk support is here to help After your Glue account is migrated, we recommend that you take two important steps: Review your HQ Account Admins and make any necessary adjustments Review your project list for duplicates and merge any Glue projects into the appropriate HQ projects And if you need help, Autodesk support is here to help.

17 Glue Customer Account Migration Timeline – Subject to Change
March: New Accounts and Trials - DONE April: Glue only accounts - DONE May: Multiple product accounts and Enterprise Customers June: Accounts using Glue create project API Note: All customers will receive an notification prior to their scheduled migration. If you have a specific migration timing request, we recommend that you contact your Autodesk Enterprise Priority support representative or your Autodesk Consulting contact as soon as possible. During May we will start the Glue migrations for our largest customers. All customers will receive an notification prior to their migration. If you would like to request a specific migration date, please contact your Autodesk EP support or consulting contact to make that request as soon as possible. There are a very small number of customers who use a Glue API to create projects. That API will be deprecated after migration and an equivalent HQ API will be published in June. We will work with any affected customers to ensure a smooth transition.
