1. XT Camera Firmware Update Process
To update the camera firmware you will first need to upload the existing data from the camera through the Monitor and Calibration service function in Upload XT. This will ensure that no client data is lost due to the firmware update process. The camera should be connected to the computer via the USB cable. Wait 20 seconds and make sure the camera is recognized by the computer. Click on “Service” and in the Drop down menu click on “XT Camera Application Standard”

There will be a prompt that the camera has the old firmware and needs to be updated click on “OK”. The camera application will now open as seen below. Make note of the current firmware version.

Click on the “Settings” tab to bring up the setting options.

Look at the Date/ Time box to ensure its accuracy. If the time was incorrect you can set it by clicking the “Set to PC” button. Make sure the time zone is set to the USA (New York) setting. Also, if the clock on your PC is incorrect this incorrect time will be set to your unit.

You can now click on the “Update” button under firmware to begin the update process. A popup screen will come up indicating that the firmware update is in progress.

6. XT Camera Firmware Update Process
The pop-up screen will show which a three step update process during which there will be a few windows that open disregard these windows they will automatically close. During this time do NOTHING at your computer until this process is completed. If the firmware update fails the camera will no longer be functional and have to be swapped out. When the yellow box closes the update is complete and can be verified by: clicking on O.K. acknowledging the update has been completed in the pop-up with a German header and by looking at the firmware version in the camera application screen it should read There are a total of three steps; it will take no less than 5 minutes for all three steps to complete – in some cases longer than 5 minutes, depending on your computer.
