2 Ms Veronica today conducted News time with the children, she encouraged open ended questions which helps their further develop expressive and receptive language as well as confidence and social development. Isaac said “his father dressed him in clean clothes last night”, Alessio said “Mummy took him to the shops”, Zac, said “he went to a friend’s house and slept over”, Zara said “I did coloring”, Grace said “she, Eli and Bella did drawing” , Johnny said “he watched tv”  and Deen said “he ate cheese!!!” Ms. Veronica read to the children some poems which the children were questioned about and encouraged to recall the events in the story and ask questions. “Frogs don’t care” Skipping frogs in my soup, with a rope, loop the loo, on my shirt, in my hair peas and ham everywhere, skipping frogs laugh and stare, skipping frogs just don’t care”, was the favorite and Ms. Veronica asked if the children know how to hold a rope and skip?? We continued on with what you would find on the farm and the children had to differentiate the coloured objects. The children made different coloured groups with food. One food group was all yellow that included 3 yellow bananas, corn, and etc. We also had green lettuce, pears, pickles and more green food that the children placed. Children recognize similarities and differences – Eylf Outcome 5 – Children engage in a range of texts and gain meaning from these texts This lead to the children then continuing on doing a colored shape Train, which they had to colour the shapes, cut and work out how to stick to create and complete the puzzle train and place in their beautiful big books. Children imitates variety of Shapes in drawing e.g. Circles – EYLF outcome 3, “Show enthusiasm for participating”

15 Learning Outcomes: 4.4 Children transfer and adapt what they have learnt from one context to another. 5.1 children interact verbally and non-verbally with others for a range of purpose. All children demonstrated the ability to use their fine motor skills – fingers, arms and eye coordination. All children demonstrated that are confident and enthusiastic learners within their learning. (outcome 4.1.1).
