Key Terms Great Wall-(n) The people on the northern end of China depended on the Great Wall to protect them against enemies. Silk Road-(n) People depend on the silk road for many products and materials.

The Great Wall of China The first Emperor of the Qin Empire (Shi Huangdi) need to find a better way to protect his kingdom from nomads north of his empire. To do so he order the building of one of biggest public projects ever seen, The Great Wall. To build the wall Shi Huangdi had worker put together smaller walls that already exist. The wall would continue being built in the following dynasties and eventually would protect the Silk Road which became the key to trade not only in China but the world until the 1600s.

Ancient China Jobs and Math
Students are to complete the Ancient China job letter and the Ancient math sheet on the other side of the paper. For the China job letter students CAN write on the work sheet but for the math worksheet students CANNOT write on the worksheet and will need another sheet of paper showing the work.
