3 Let’s Go! This will be quick. I chose this method because I want plenty of time to play with the product and to answer questions. I want to boil this down to essentials.

4 Free online open library
Skillscommons.org Free online open library The US Department of labor wants TAACCCT materials to be open, meaning that they can be “found, reused, revised, retained, redistributed, and remixed by individuals, institutions, and industry.” Skillscommons.org was designed with this in mind, and is managed by California State University and MERLOT institutions are currently contributing high quality, UDL compliant, SME reviewed materials. (As of Sept 2015).

5 100% Free Flexible Remixable Revisable

11 You can put your content on SKillscommons- in fact, it is required by the grant.
Per the TAACCCT grant, 80% of things that are created must go to SkillsCommons. This can be ANYTHING you create for your grant covered classes, or remixes of CC:BY licensed items you create. (Lectures, assignment sheets, help guides, and full online classes all count.) Please check your personal grant guidelines for specifics on how much needs to be on SkillsCommons.

12 How to put Content on SkillsCommons

13 EMBargoing Quizzes and Tests
"Spicker trinkflasche" by Stmichael , German Wikipedia is licensed under CC BY-SA 2.0 "Cheating" by Hariadhi is licensed under CC BY 2.5 Some instructors have expressed concerns about having their tests and quizzes online. They do not want their students to be able to access them before the test. SkillsCommons has a solution to this, and it’s called embargoing. When an item is embargoed, it means that there is an extra step to download the product. Somebody will be designated to receive s when the embargoed item is requested, and that person will have to manually approve downloads of that item.
