Logs resource Releases resources based on IC direction Teams 1-3 (example) Move resources to patient Teams remain intact until Rescue Team Leader re- assigns a litter extrication team Locate and stabilize patient Appropriate medical equipment Appropriate patient environmental protection Hasty Team remains intact until Rescue Team Leader re-assigns a litter extrication team Coordinates all litter extrication operations, overall command of field personnel and operations Assigns Litter Extrication Team Leaders / Medical Officer Point of contact for all communications w/IC, Litter Team Leader, Passing Team Leader, Medical Officer & Rope Team Leader On-going risk management / Safety Officer Initial Deployment of Resources Equipment Medical gear - Hasty Team Patient environmental protection - Hasty Team Additional gear requested by Hasty Team Litter Vacuum mattress / insulating pad Litter wheel Trail rope & system equipment Personnel Requirements Difficult Extrication: Rescuers Moderate Extrication: Rescuers Easy Extrication: Rescuers

Passing Team Leader Rescue Team Leader Litter Team Leader Rope Team Leader Medical Officer Optional position Directs patient care Additional medical personnel assigned as required 1-3 rescuers in front of Passing team Identify terrain requiring raise / lower systems Set up & execute rope system Mans head of litter utilizing length of webbing Manages 6 rescuers on litter Ensures safe litter operations Directs litter operations Manages personnel not on litter Maintains personnel in front of the litter Identifies / communicates route selection decisions to Litter Team Identifies / communicates hazards to Letter Team Identifies terrain requiring a litter pass Mange personnel thru passing sections Allocates replacement resources as requested by litter team
