3. TEPP Mission
To ensure that federal, state, tribal, and local responders have access to the plans, training, and technical assistance necessary to safely, efficiently, and effectively respond to transportation accidents involving DOE-owned radioactive materials. To accomplish this mission, a suite of tools have been developed to aid the response jurisdictions in their readiness activities.

4. FY 2017 National Training Activities
Training sessions and headcount completed in FY 2017 by Regional Government Group
Western – 8 classes by DOE and 1 by state instructors with 103 students attending
Midwest – 2 class by DOE and 1 by state instructors with 55 students attending
Northeast – 7 classes by DOE and 2 by state instructors with 172 students attending
7 CMERRTTs; 2 TMERRTTs
Southern – 32 classes by DOE and 14 by state instructors with 653 students attending
