What God intended marriage to be
How good marriage can be

DIVORCE

There is something in marriage people see as potentially good and irreplaceable

The Bible Teaches Us Marriage Can Be One Of The Most Positive Blessings Men and Women Can Experience In This Life

The Beginning Genesis 2:18-22
“NOT GOOD” Genesis 2:23 “This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh,” Adam saw his wife as a part of himself

POINT: Though Adam and Eve were separate persons, they could think of themselves as one – and think of each other the same way they thought of themselves Result of this kind of attitude would be her welfare, feelings and needs would be as important to Adam as his own

God Intends Ephesians 5:28-33 “so love his own wife as himself, and let the wife see the she respects her husband.” It is possible for the marriage relationship to be so close that needs, feelings and welfare of our companion is just as important to us as our own welfare

Book of Proverbs Proverbs 12:4 NKJV 4 An excellent wife is the crown of her husband, But she who causes shame is like rottenness in his bones.” Proverbs 19:14 NKJV 14 Houses and riches are an inheritance from fathers, But a prudent wife is from the LORD.”

Book of Proverbs Proverbs 15:17 NKJV 17 Better is a dinner of herbs where love is, Than a fatted calf with hatred.” Proverbs 31:10-29 NKJV 10 Who can find a virtuous wife? For her worth is far above rubies. 11 The heart of her husband safely trusts her; So he will have no lack of gain. 12 She does him good and not evil All the days of her life….

1 Corinthians 13:4-7 Suffers Long Is Not Provoked Is Kind

1 Corinthians 13:4-7 Suffers Long Is Not Provoked Is Kind Thinks No Evil Does not Envy Doe Not Rejoice in Iniquity Does not parade itself Rejoices in Truth Is not Puffed Up Bears All Things Does not Behave Rudely Believes All Things Hopes All Things Does not seek its Own Endures All Things What kind of marriage would it be if both husband and wife treated each other with this kind of love?

“That is not Possible or Practical!”
FACT: If both husband and wife make up their minds to show each other real and lasting love their marriage can become what God intends for it to be.
