2 About CAHS CAHS was founded in 1910 and is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization CAHS has been a fiscal sponsor—and provided accounting services—to agencies for over 20 years, managing budgets ranging from $50k to over $3MM Experience with QuickBooks, Abila Fund Accounting (formerly Sage MIP), and Peachtree Accounting packages

3 Banking Separate bank accounts maintained
CAHS’ Executive Director, Jim Horan, would be the lead signer on all bank accounts with members of CAHS’ Board of Directors as additional signers CAHS makes bank deposits on a weekly basis; additional deposits can be accommodated All bank accounts are reconciled on a monthly basis

4 Payroll Direct Deposit is available for your employees
Timesheets can be reviewed by CAHS staff Sick, Vacation, and Personal time will be calculated and tracked for your staff Payroll Tax processing is provided by CAHS Pension Plan processing and compliance is provided through an outside vendor Check stubs may be provided either electronically or via paper

5 Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payable
Invoices are generated for your services, sent either electronically or via mail Statements generated for past due balances as requested Checks are written for invoices on a weekly basis Expenses are accrued to the proper time period for your grant tracking 1099 Processing occurs in January for all eligible vendors

6 Benefit Package CAHS provides Human Resource support to assist you with your employees benefits, including: Health Insurance Dental Insurance Life Insurance Pension Plan

7 Accounting Services Maintenance of General Ledger accounts
Audit support and preparation on an annual basis Separate 501(c)(3) charities: will assist with your audit Fiscal Sponsorship: will be included with CAHS Interim un-audited Financial Statements available as requested (no less than quarterly) Statement of financial position (balance sheet) Income statement (P&L) Budget v. actual reports, if budget provided

8 Fee Structure The annual fee for Fiscal Sponsorships varies across the country, average is 5.6% CAHS’ fee will be based upon the size of your organization and scope of the services you desire

9 Other Benefits Insurance – Benefit from being part of CAHS’ business travel, general liability, and other business insurance coverages Lobbying reports to CT Office of Ethics, if applicable Tax-Exempt: sponsored organizations may be able to take advantage of CAHS’ 501(c)(3) charity designation Savings with sales tax benefits Receive tax-deductible donations Flexspace at CAHS for occasional meetings, as available
