V2-EVAL Complete evaluation and prototyping kit. 2 x USB type ‘A’ connectors, headers for access to interfaces, external power supply and prototyping area. VNC2 accessed via daughterboard site. V2DIP1/V2DIP2 Modules Compact, easy-to-integrate modules 0.1” pitch headers provide access to VNC2 device interfaces. VNC2 Debug Module Designed for loading and debugging firmware on VNC2

3 V2DIPx-x Modules Compact, easy-to-integrate modules.
0.1” pitch headers provide access to VNC2 device interfaces. Fit into 0.1” pitch DIL sockets. Can be integrated onto a breadboard for prototyping or integrated into a customer board. All modules feature a header for connecting a VNC2 Debug Module. V2DIP1 modules – 1 USB connector. V2DIP2 modules – 2 USB connectors.

5 VNC2 Debug Module Use for loading or debugging firmware on VNC2.
Module connects to VNC2 hardware via a 6-pin, 2mm SIL socket. ‘MiniB’ USB connector to connect to PC USB port. Onboard FT232R carries out the USB to serial conversion. Provides power to VNC2 target. LEDS to indicate power and data transfer. Compatible with Vinculum II toolchain debug tool.

6 V2-EVAL Development Kit
Development platform for VNC2 devices. Connects with daughter cards containing 32, 48 or 64 pin VNC2 devices (sold separately) Powered from USB or separate 5V supply (supplied) USB type B connector to connect to PC 2 x Type A USB connectors for connecting the VNC2 USB ports. Header pins for connecting to external hardware Prototyping area for additional circuitry

7 V2-EVAL Daughter Cards Daughter cards plug directly into the V2-EVAL board. Daughter cards support 32, 48, 64 pin IC.

8 V2-EVAL Board 2 x USB ’A’ type Host connectors.
Can be configured for operation as USB Host or Slave port. Gender changer supplied for Slave interfacing 1 x USB ‘B’ type connector, provides connection to onboard FT4232H. FT4232H used for VNC2 configuration. USB UART connection to VNC2. Debug interface to VNC2. I/O headers for VNC2 interfaces. Prototyping area. External power supply input. LEDs and switches.

9 V2-EVAL Terminal V2-EVAL, FT4232H channel configuration.
CH A: USB UART connection to VNC2. Connection must be enabled by onboard multiplexer. CH B: Debug interface. CH C: Data sniffer. Displays data sent to VNC2 UART. CH D: Interface control. Controls multiplexer to switch between FT4232H UART or board UART. GPIO pins to controls RESET# and PROG# pins on VNC2. These pins can also be switched between FT4232H control and board control. V2-EVAL terminal utility carries out FT4232H configuration. User can also program FT4232H with application using D2XX API commands.
