6. Reference architecture
Camera
A camera used to broadcast a live event. Could send a single-bitrate stream to the Channel that is enabled to perform live encoding with Media Services, or a multi-bitrate RTMP when configured as pass- through.
Channel Live Encoder
A live video encoder that converts signals from the Channel to multi- bitrate streams that are sent to a live streaming service.
Channel Preview
Channels provide a preview endpoint (preview URL) used to preview and validate your stream before further processing and delivery
Assets and Storage
Digital files (including video, audio, images, thumbnail collections, text tracks and closed caption files) and metadata are mapped to a blob container in the Azure Storage account.
Sports Data Provider
3rd party sports specialty provider of live stats, goals, results
Streaming Endpoint
A streaming service that delivers content directly to a client player application, or to a Content Delivery Network (CDN) for further distribution
