3 What to look for Target this solution to organizations needing a well-profiled base of customers with a regular rhythm of engagement; streamlining customer- engagement practices to lessen the overhead of getting high-value, actionable feedback Fans sign-in to the cloud based front-end application and connect with each other real-time. The solution collects telemetry information, develops detailed fan-based profiles, and uses analytics to assess/forecast customer needs. The Digital Platform will collect and process messages, interactions, and comments in social networks, which enables the enterprise to manage its social network presence and obtain insights for marketing campaigns, fan communication, marketing to increase the digital fan base. The Digital Platform allows Apps built on top of it. One of these is the gamification engine that allows users to receive points and achievements which can be turned into discounts or gifts.

Solution goal The Fan Engagement solution will enable the enterprise to strengthen its relationship with fans as well as unlock new levels of business insight driving customer satisfaction and targeted brand marketing. Solution components This solution is built on the following Azure managed services: Azure Web Sites, Active Directory, Media Services, Search, Storage, Application Insights, Dynamics CRM, Marketing and Social Listening, Azure Data Factory, PowerBI and Sharepoint Online. These services run in a high availability environment, patched and supported, allowing you to focus on your solution vs. the environment they run in.

6 Functional architecture
Digital Platform The Digital Platform is the core component for managing the degree view of fans. This subsystem has a BackOffice to manage non-media content that is displayed on the apps. This enables configuring the gaming engine and also includes CRM to manage fans, marketing campaigns, and social listening. Video Platform The Video Platform provides the functionality required to upload, encode, and manage media content that will be rendered by the apps and the web. The BackOffice for the Video Platform is responsible for managing all required video ingestion services, media assets classification, live and on-demand video consumption, creation and management of transmission scheduling services (thematic or personalized by the users), as well as the required media storage and distribution through CDNs worldwide. Consumer App The Consumer App supports the end user experience. The platform provides native integration SDKs that can be used from Android, iOS and Windows to communicate with the digital and video platforms. Depending on the customer, apps can be net new developments (greenfield scenarios) or can support existing apps, in which case these existing apps are integrated with the Digital Platform and/or the Video Platform. Business Dashboards Business Dashboards are implemented using PowerBI, HDInsights, and Azure Data Factory. They aggregate and process information coming from the DP, VP and the Apps to produce different reports. Operational Dashboards The Operational Dashboards tier provides tools and reports that operations can use to manage the solution in production. Third Party Apps Third party apps such as web, mobile and desktop apps can be integrated with Digital and Video Platform via the external endpoint APIs provided by the Digital Platform.
