Three Letter Clusters

2. Three Letter Clusters
Some words have three letters that blend together to make one sound.
These could be scr-, spr-, str- or thr-. I know I have to use all three sounds and I can’t leave a sound out.
For example:
stretch scrambled -

When you have triplets, you have three babies at the same time!

4. scrap
After you cut things out, you can use the scrap paper to make other things.

5. street
My house is on this street.

6. spring I love to smell the flowers in spring.
Many things, like mechanical pencils, use a spring to help them work.

7. thrill
Some people enjoy the thrill of a good roller coaster ride.

8. scream
Sometimes people scream at their computer when it doesn’t work, but that doesn’t make it work!

9. strange
Those are some strange looking fruits!

10. throw
Baseball pitchers have to throw the ball hard and fast.

11. string
Kittens love to play with string.

12. scrape
Before you make a jack-o-lantern, you have to scrape out all of the seeds.
It never feels good when you fall and scrape yourself!

13. spray
Oil you can spray is easier to use than oil you have to pour.

14. threw
He threw the ball to the other player.

15. strong
This man must be really strong!

16. scratch
When something itches, you need to scratch it.
