9 MACHC CB Plan At the last meeting of the MACHC in St John’s, Antigua I presented my five year plan to the membership There were four activities identified for 2017:- A further MSI course Technical Implementation visits to Dominican Republic and El Salvador Basic Hydrography Course A further Seminar on Raising Awareness of Hydrography

The CBSC endorsed three of our four activities Basic Hydrography course was not supported

11 MACHC CB Plan The MACHC CB Plan will be reviewed annually at MACHC meetings and any emerging requirements for the other training initiatives listed (reference section 2) can be discussed by MACHC members for inclusion into the next years plan, noting that submissions made to the CBSC for funding consideration are for the succeeding year

Japan through the Nippon Foundation – GEBCO Graduate Training Project at the UNH, USA (1 year) CAT B Cartography (15 weeks) at the UKHO See IHO CL04/16 for details of this course Republic of Korea - Masters programme in Hydrographic Surveying at the USM, USA (1 year) CAT B Cartography (15 weeks spread over 3 years) at KHOA, Busan, ROK
