What do you like to do? Role play the name on your name tag
Ask another student what they like to do, using the “tu” or “vous” form appropriate to their name tag: Qu’est-ce que TU aimes faire? (kess kuh tu em fair?) Qu’est-ce que VOUS aimez fair? (kess kuh voo zay may fair?) When asked, answer with the activity on the back of your card and this phrase: J’aime…[activity phrase] (see p for activity phrases) After the conversation, trade cards with your partner and find another classmate to repeat the activity with.

Infinitives: textbook p. 64
Look at the list of infinitives in the first paragraph on p. 64 (words in bold). What do they end with? Infinitives have no subject pronoun because they simply state the meaning of the verb. Put an infinitive after “J’aime…” or “Tu aimes…”, etc. An infinitive translates as “to verb”

Use your phone to find a French dictionary online (website or app) Partner with someone if you don’t have a phone List on your whiteboard 6 verbs you would like to know in French that you haven’t learned yet. Look each one up in your dictionary. Write down the INFINITIVE VERB form of each word you look up. It must end in –ER, -IR, or –RE to be an infinitive. Ex. I looked up “Knit” at
