Why would you need a mid back office system ?
To avoid this! © 2014 Amadeus IT Group SA If you don’t do it, you have to manually distribute invoice, and a lot of tasks that can be automatically done using AGM. Some TA don’t know why they need a back office. Would be great to have a slide explaining WHY (text) we need a back office. Not necessary but would be nice depending of the customer. (little customer or customer with no knowledge) Why do they need a mid office.

Agency Manager – High Level Architecture
Modular technology, which gives you the freedom and flexibility to use only those products that meet your specific business needs, hosted by Amadeus’ data centre based in Erding, Germany. THIS SLIDE COULD BE REDONE Hand off handler - Links mid office to outer world - Can integrate GDS, local booking systems and standard XML formatted bookings - No re-keying so less errors and more time savings - Also auto-integrates remarks e.g. applicable AGM customer number, sales channel, saving information, references, auto-invoice etc. - HOH 1) decodes and interprets IR, 2) performs any necessary translation, 3) checks validity (e.g. mandatory references) – flagging errors automatically in Agenda, 4) creates products in Dossier Agenda - Personalised task manager for individual users, groups/teams - Agenda messages can be created manually (e.g. message telling user to call embassy for a visa on DATE at TIME), automatically messages generated by the HOH (e.g. if certain mandatory info is missing from booking), or; c) other automatic messages (e.g. CC of customer has expired) - Supervisors can view Agenda messages of Team and reallocate tasks Travel File In Leisure travel, the Travel File is often used to print proposals (Itinerary). In Business travel, the Travel File is not much more than a flow-through phase. Dossiers Dossier contains all confirmed reservations related to a particular trip. Manual bookings can be added directly into the Travel File and/or Dossier e.g. Ryan Air or non-GDS boutique hotel if HOH file not available. Travel documents can be issued manually/automatically from the TF and Dossier Fees – once for example an air bkg comes in, the MOS auto recognizes its features and applies the applicable fee – eg: INT vs DOM. Again no manual entries. Fees can be defined in MOS by central admin or accountant so no need for agents to change or enter fees. SJ Travel file contains all info fom GDS\Doss also but only these sections that are confirmed EX book air ticket and car in GDS Send file to BO picked up by handoff and process Tf is create contains air car and hotel booking At same instant doss created but only contains confirmed items Hotel will not show up in dossier if not confirmed TF is not really used these days no added value Only there for an app that no longer exists – booking wizard Devd for Galileo Made booking in AGM and seen file to Galileo to finalize reservation In this concept TF was important No link between BO and MIS, cannot create reports based on BO data Use crystal reports for printing -> moving to Crystal clear

Amadeus Agency Manager
Global reach Naming convention Red = future Orange = Past and for some reasons, they left Blue =Present It is quite borderline to show as much as possible country where AGM is available (Griffin is working in India, but with England law, so merely legal) Market compliant Market analysis Previous assessment
