2 Definition of Title I: Title I provides federal funding to our campus to help students who are not achieving their potential or are most at risk of falling behind.

3 Definition of Title I: Title I money is given to campuses based on the percentage of students receiving free or reduced lunch. Schools with at least 40% percent of their students on free or reduced lunch are eligible for a school-wide program.

4 (Campus Name) operates a Title I School-wide Program.

5 School-wide means: The campus uses Title I funds to upgrade the entire educational program of the campus. Title I funds are used to serve all children in order to raise academic achievement. Title I funds will be used to provide additional assistance to all students who experience difficulties in meeting the State’s performance targets.

6 To be a “School-wide” School:
The campus must have a free/reduced lunch count of at least 40%. The campus must collect and analyze data that effects student achievement. The campus must develop a comprehensive site plan and annually review the effectiveness of the plan.

Upon the request of parents, the campus must provide opportunities for regular meetings for parents to formulate suggestions and to participate, as appropriate, in decisions about the education of their children. The campus must respond to any such suggestions as soon as practicably possible.
