2 Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry
….in its present form has been presenting instruction since There are about 540 teachers, 1750 pregraduate students, 400 postgraduate students, and 200 students are taught pregraduate programme in the English language. Possession of degree Medicinae Universae Doctore (MUDr.) enables the holder to practice medicine in the CR and in Europe without restriction. The Faculty offers 25 doctoral degree programs. Long-term focus of science in three areas: research on the origin and development of diseases, development of new diagnostic and therapeutic methods and study of the epidemiology and prevention of major diseases.

The Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) is the international not-for-profit, research and development Centre - within the Faculty of Health Sciences and Medical at the University of Adelaide, South Australia an international collaboration of health scientists, health professionals and health researchers The Institute and its Collaborating Entities promote and support: - the synthesis + transfer + utilization of evidence to assist in the improvement of healthcare outcomes globally - through identifying feasible, appropriate, meaningful and effective healthcare practices

15 The Institute is now a global leader in the EBHC movement, often referred to as being among the top three (along side the Cochrane Collaboration and the Campbell Collaboration). At present, there are 70+ Collaborating and Affiliate Centers and Groups, over 7000 subscribing health services and university members in 47 countries, and users from 90+ countries who regularly access JBI content on-line.
