3. Samples Overview
When pre-production samples were assessed by the project team & other stakeholders, numerous enhancement opportunities were identified, as outlined within
Only GJ cartons were produced on the correct weight of board as it’s a different substrate to all other cartons. It was available at the time samples were made, whereas the correct weight of board for all other packs was not. So all packs will be the weight of the GJ versions (710 microns)
Excluding GJ again, only the Music carton & SB cartons were printed on the correct side – deliberately on the uncoated side. Unfortunately all other samples were printed on the uncoated side instead of the coated side. The coated side will provide a more vibrant finish & allow for deeper de/embossing & will eliminate cracks on folds & corners
Some cartons were not flooded the correct color inside – JDTH packs will be flooded cream, JDTF red, JDTW, GJ & SB all silver
