Find 400 X 700 Basic fact is 4 X 7 = 28 Pattern: 4 X 70 = 280 4 X 700 = 2800 40 X 700 = 2,8000 400 X 700 = 280,000

6 You can count the zeros in the factors
Step 1: Find the Basic Fact 4 X 7 = 28 Step 2: Count the number of zeros in each factor. 400 X 700 2 Zeros + 2 zeros= 4 zeros Step 3: Write the zeros to the right of the product in Step 1 400 X 700 = 280,000 Zeros From Step 2 Product from Step 1
