I chose this song because it always reminds me of a time when I worked with troubled teens as a mentor. Many of these wonderful young men and women were very misguided and did not have the most positive influences around them. Some of them overcame their problems and found more positive outlets, while others were not as fortunate. Sometimes we have to stop and think about how people affect our lives and the lives of the people around us. Like a ripple effect, your choices will impact everyone around you, so be sure to make some positive ones.

I choose to live a life that I can be proud of and a life that will not have been spent in vain when the director, or God, yells “cut.” In making my mark, I choose to do so with my children.
