General Information:
My group have previously studied immune biomarkers prognosis for Colon, Gastric and Head and Neck cancers (i.e. Larynx and Nasopharynx Ca) through bioinformatics analysis of microarray data.
Planning to establish in vitro and in vivo models for investigating the role of Innate Lymphoid Cells (ILCs) in processes in gut. i.e. ILC interactions with microbiota, their roles in the healthy aging of gut as well as possible disruptions of these interactions with Colon Ca.

-Surgical implantation of human tumors in severe combined immune-deficient (SCID) mice
-Skilled in handing tumors from human and mouse cell lines in several mouse models (BALB/c, C57BL/6 etc.)
-Proficient and certified in surgery on mice
Molecular Biology Techniques
-Epigenetic analysis of gene promoters
-PCR/Quantitative Real Time PCR with SYBR green,Taqman chemistry and HRM analysis
-Western blot analysis
-Design of Luciferase reporter constructs- Reporter Assays
-Site-directed mutagenesis
-Use of siRNA/shRNA constructs for post-transcriptional silencing
