4. Enter name and a “strong” password
Make a “strong” password--at least 5 characters of 4 types: letters, numbers, symbols, and capital/lower-case letters.

6. Enter information on application form
Complete requested items, as best you can
For statistical purposes only: national census agency-owners of the microdata like to know statistics on usage by nationals studying abroad

7. Access is restricted to qualified users
Institutional affiliation is required to assess user qualifications

8. Users must respect confidentiality
Violation of user agreement will result in revocation of access to all users at that institution.

9. Click countries of interest (for info only)
If unsure, click USA. Once approved, you may access data for any country

11. Click submit button to complete application (notification emailed in 1-7 days)X

12. Renewal is easy (annual)
Once approved, license may be renewed annually.
Simply update changes to application:
institutional information
address,
etc.
Then submit. Approval is automatic.
