2 What is the Code of Conduct?
The Code of Conduct tells us what is against the rules and what happens if we break the rules There are 4 levels of infractions (things that break the rules)

3 Level 1 Infractions Cheating Disrespect Disruptive conduct
Being out of dress code Misconduct on the bus Being tardy Not coming to school

4 What Happens? Parent contact
Not being allowed to ride the bus Behavior contract

5 Level 2 Infractions Attempting to fight
Lying to teachers and other staff members Serious misconduct on the school bus Open defiance of authority or school policy Stealing Vandalism Obscene or abusive language Inappropriate Clothing

6 What Happens? Parent contact from the Dean’s Office
Not being allowed to ride the bus Behavior contract Confiscation of electronic devices In-school suspension Out of school suspension

7 Wait…there’s MORE!!! Level 3 Infractions
Assault or threatening another student Fighting Forgery Gambling Willful insubordination Bullying Harassment Theft Misuse of telecommunication services Wait…there’s MORE!!!

8 Level 3 Infractions Serious misconduct on school buses
Possession of contraband materials Sexual harassment Tampering with school safety equipment Possessing tobacco products Trespassing Extreme vandalism Possession of drug paraphernalia

9 What Happens? Mandatory parent contact from principal or district employee NOTIFY LAW ENFORCEMENT Loss of computer privileges Removal from extracurricular activities Restitution for loss or damages Confiscation of electronic devices In-school or out of school suspension Recommendation for expulsion

10 Wait…there’s MORE!!! Level 4 Infractions
Possession of drugs or alcohol Assault or battery False fire alarm Arson Threatening or assaulting school employees Robbery Possession of weapons Wait…there’s MORE!!!

11 Level 4 Infractions Extortion
False accusation against school employees Manipulating computer data Drug or alcohol sale or distribution Extreme vandalism

12 What Happens? NOTIFY LAW ENFORCEMENT
Loss of privileges including riding the bus Loss of computer privileges Confiscation of electronic devices Removal from extracurricular activities Referral to guidance Restitution for loss or damages Referral to alternative school Suspension from school for up to 10 days with recommendation for expulsion
