8 BLM Responses Beam1 Left of IP1
Primary response appears with BOLD Horizontal Impact Parameter: Negative Jaw (closer to BLM): 2.611mm Positive Jaw: 1.234 mm Negative/Positive impacts ~ 5 Horizontal Halo 6.5 TeV BLM response Simulated Collimator BLMTI.B4L1 BLMTI.C4L1 TCTPH.4L1 10.3 1.24 TCTPV.4L1 0.58 4.52 (Values are normalised to the BLM_TCP.C response for horizontal losses at 3.5 TeV which corresponds to Gy/p ) cm configuration Collimator Settings: Primaries: 5.5 σ Secondaries in P7: 6.5 σ Tertiaries in IP1: 9 σ TCTPH: cm TCTPV: cm (halfgap) Vertical Halo 6.5 TeV BLM response Simulated Collimator BLMTI.B4L1 BLMTI.C4L1 TCTPH.4L1 9.36 1.15 TCTPV.4L1 0.6 4.58 Collimation Working Group #206 27/6/2016 E. 9 Conclusions Updated geometry model with BLM position and addition of the Vacuum pump Illustrated the sensitivity of the BLM response on the geometry and BLM location Simulated the BLM response of TCT BLM response from tertiary halo at 6.5 TeV in Point 1 Results can be used together with the BLM experimental signal in order to calculate the number of protons lost in each collimator properly taking into account the crosstalk effect Thank you!
