Its scope is under department and mgt We need operation plan because of our positions It can be used project In order to make operation plan we will use SWOT

1. SWOT analysis SWOT is a way of strategy invented by Harvard University late 20th century in 1942 most used strategy and its good in operational planning but it is bad in strategic planning.

S= strength W= weakness O= opportunities T= threats Note: - All knowledge about strategy is American knowledge

2. Goal when we want to write a goal we will make it three elements What we want How many/much we want When it should meat

So we convert SWOT into goals Every strength its increasing is a goal Every weaknesses its decreasing or eliminating is a goal Every opportunity, taking advantage of it is a goal Every threat, protecting from it is a goal

3. SMART: We should make our goals smart S= specific M= Measurable A= attainable R= realistic T= time frame Note: - if you cannot measure it you cannot manage it

4. Objective time table If for example we have 15 goals we will open 15 pages. Every goal has a separate page “Our first goal is (training 70 employees on 4 training sessions in computer within 6 months.” We will open a new page and write our goal on the top of the page

Note the following Every goal has a page Look for innovation Do not write “where” Do not write “first date and last date” Implementer can be a person or department

5. Duration time-table If you have 12 months plan you should open 12 pages Transfer the column of “when” of every month in the above table to duration time-table

6. Every individual/department time-table We write page for every person or department We transfer all works on every person or on every department from objective time table

Note:- distribute work b/w employee appropriately because 80% of organization work is done by 20% of employee Jack well says “every year divide your employees into three categories “ 20% well performers promote them, give them high salary, training them, give them vacations

70% normal performers do not 10% low performers layoff them Note: - good manager has ability to layoff Give a copy for every person/department
