To support Nominees in their understanding of national standards by:
reviewing candidate evidence
discussing this evidence and associated assessment standards with colleagues
asking questions and seeking clarification about national standards
explaining recent updates

4. Advanced Higher
Key clarifications to Unit Assessment Support Packs (UASPs).
A range of sources – 1 primary, 1 secondary minimum
Candidate selection of text(s) assessment standard 2.2
The candidate must choose one of the texts independently.

5. Analysis and Evaluation / Understanding Language (National 3 - Higher)
Remove English assessment standard 1.1 and 2.1
Identify and Explain Audience and Purpose
NB Audience and Purpose are still requirements within Literacy.

6. Creation and Production / Producing Language (National 3 - Higher)
Remove assessment standard Communicate Meaning at first reading - from Writing.

7. Key Messages + Personalisation and choice + Positive engagement

+Detailed and supportive feedback
+Centres also demonstrated clear, well thought out and integrated assessment approaches which linked learning and teaching with internal assessment.
