You have to know your rights . What sort of jobs you can & cant apply for

3 Youth employment laws They are to protect you from the dangers on the the job. They are also called “child labor laws”. The minimum wage is $8 an hour Minors under 14 cannot work

4 Prohibited Jobs ages (14-15)
.working in barbershops . Working in construction, . transportation, communications, . or public utilities (except doing . clerical work away from heavy machinery off the job-site) . Performing any baking activities

5 Prohibited jobs ages (16-17)
• Working 30 feet or more above ground or water Handling, serving or selling alcoholic beverages Working as a firefighter or engineer on a boat • Work in any job requiring the possession or use of a firearm
