British India Controlled by BEIC Want $$$$$$ Given total control by granting favors/acting harshly end local wars/massacres made road, railroad, factories, hospitals and schools improved farming, public health and sanitation Hurt Indian industry Hand crafters make things by hand British out manufacture British make clothe cheaper Put Indians out of jobs
