3 The term Sixth sense was introduced by German researcher Dr
The term Sixth sense was introduced by German researcher Dr. Rudolf Tischner whose book "Telepathy and Clairvoyance" was written in German in 1920 and published in English in 1925.

4 Introduction The Sixth Sense prototype is comprised of a pocket projector, a mirror and a camera. The hardware components are coupled in a pendant like mobile wearable device. Both the projector and the camera reconnected to the mobile computing device in the users pocket. The projector projects visual information enabling surfaces, walls and physical objects around us to be used as interfaces; while the camera recognizes and tracks user's hand gestures and physical objects using computer-vision based techniques.

5 Definition:- The Sixth Sense is the ability to receive or send information beyond the real time of the five senses of sight, sound, taste, touch, or smell.

8 The basics… 1. Sixth Sense allows people to use the internet without
a screen or a keyboard It can turn any surface into a touch screen

9 TECHNOLOGY BEHIND SIXTH SENSE DEVICE
Hardware Setup. Software Setup. Events & Gestures.

10 Hardware Setup: Mobile: Nokia n95 smart phone is used It is multitasking capability. Built-in camera provides execution of both: Gesture tracking engine. Gesture enabled application Projector: Pocket projector Pk101 from Optoma is used.

11 The software works on the basis of computer vision Events & Gestures:
Software Setup: Applications are implemented using JAVA 2MICRO edition. Computer vision library is written in symbian c++(used in Gesture tracking). The software works on the basis of computer vision Events & Gestures: Events & Gestures are detected using colored markers attached to fingers.

12 Just a few things it can do…
The device recognizes items in stores, and then gathers and projects information about products to the user. It also is able to provide quick signals to let users know what the best products are based on their needs.

13 Another amazing feature is the device’s ability to look at
an airplane ticket and let the user know whether the flight is delayed or on time.

14 It is also able to recognize books(based on image) in a book store and then project reader reviews or author information from the internet on to blank pages .

15 The device can also recognize articles in newspapers,
retrieve the latest related stories or video from the Internet and then display them on pages for the user. Say goodbye to your dictionary and encyclopedia.

16 It is used for other purpose that is when we interact with other person it shows the details of the person (name and the action performed by the person) shown as below

17

18 Sixth Sense uses the visual, kinesthetic, intrapersonal
and interpersonal among others. If this technology does nothing else, the idea that students can simply use their hands to draw images on walls and take pictures with their hands will be (at least initially) quite motivating

19

20 Advantages of Sixth Sense:-
Supports multi-touch and multi-user interaction Portable Connectedness between world and information Cost effective Data access directly from machine in real time Mind map the idea anywhere It is an open source
