2. About the “Green to Gold” Program
Program Description
The “Green to Gold” program focuses on providing student veterans with coaching & mentorship in the areas of personal finance, goal setting, & career development. Motivated veterans of any era not in school are also welcome!
Objectives
Create a vision of the life you want to build
Develop a Personal Finance Plan to fund your life’s goals
Identify skills from military service that are valued by businesses
Create an Individual Development Plan and receive mentorship
Connect with a community of veterans and veteran supporters
Earn a job, grow your career, achieve your goals
Serve as mentor to help the next veteran
Desired End-State
Assist veterans with building a career, living with purpose, and creating the life they want.

Initial Vision Setting & Intro to Personal Finance (Jan 21st)
Debt Myths & Decisions (Jan 28th)
Putting Your Dollars to Work (Feb 4th)
Managing Debt, Emergency Savings & Retirement (Feb 18th)
Financial Fitness & Presentation Preparations (Feb 25th)
Pitch Financial Action Plan (Mar 11th)

4. The “Next Mission” Workshop at West Point
(Saturday, April 29th 8:30am – 4:30pm)
Clearly define your container (Identity)
Self discover critical beliefs, values, & experiences within your container
Historical tour of West Point to remind veterans of their legacy
Brainstorm ideas for best utilizing and growing contents within their container
Develop a vision for your future and “next mission” statement
Create initial draft Individual Development Plan (IDP)
After the session, veterans meet with facilitator for IDP mentoring session

Bottom line:  It’s time for a  change the mission.  Our country needs veterans to take everything they’ve been through, fully transition back to civilian life, and continue to serve as leaders within their jobs, their families, and their communities.  My role will be to assist you in making this very important transition you create for themselves.
