5 Histories of stimulants
Cocaine was originally used in many things used by most people, it is also how Coca-Cola became so popular Meth was used largely for medical reasons and during wars. It is also speculated that Hitler got regular meth injections for his Parkinson's disease. It was also used in OTC drugs for things like the common cold, depression, and even for addictions. Ecstasy was studied in a drug trial along with 140 others and found to be the closest to perfect therapeutic drug. Caffeine has always been used for energy and to wake people up.

6 Stats More than 12 million Americans have tried methamphetamine and 1.5 million are regular users, according to federal estimates. Meth-making operations have been uncovered in all 50 states; Missouri tops the list, with more than 8,000 labs, equipment caches and toxic dumps seized between 2002 and 2004. Cops nationwide rank methamphetamine the No. 1 drug they battle today, In a recent survey of 500 police departments in 45 states by the NACO 58 percent said meth is their biggest drug problem, compared with only 19 percent for cocaine, 17 percent for pot and 3 percent for heroin. In NACO’s survey of local law enforcement, 70 percent said robberies or burglaries have increased because of meth, as have domestic violence, assaults and identity theft; 40 percent of child-welfare officials reported an increase in out-of-home placements last year due to meth.
