2 Interesting facts In 1950 there were 4000 individuals
In 1976 there was only an estimated population of 30-80 The Chinese government banned hunting in 1979 It has not been seen for 25 years in the wild. Scientists have named it functionally extinct.

6 Position in ecosystem Like most subspecies of tigers it is a carnivore and predator it preys on wild deer, pigs and langur. I there is not enough food they also eat smaller wild animals like rabbits and porcupines. They have been known to eat livestock due to lack of natural prey caused by movement of human ranching efforts into the habitats of the South China Tiger.

7 Why is it endangered It is endangered due to deforestation and hunting which cut the population down to and also hunting deer and other wild animals affect it as well because it can’t find food.

8 What is biodiversity The verity in all the other living things and variations in life. This is important because all the organisms help all the other organisms to live.

9 What is being done to save the South China Tiger
Saving the tigers has been started happening since 1980 where they have begun making safe areas and reduce hunting of the animals and no hunting the tiger.
