3 College Admissions Testing Options
Students will be taking the PSAT on Wednesday, October 11th Students may take the ACT with writing or the SAT with writing Subject Tests are offered by the SAT but are specific to certain majors at the UC and other Universities Test-Prep will help the student score higher

4 College Search Location
Size of Student Population – small, medium, large Environment – social, intellectual Major Classroom expectations – large, small Activities for the student – intramurals, football games, outdoor events Types of Students – diversity, gender balance Admissions

5 University of California
Larger research institutions 9 campuses Comprehensive Review of applicant – GPA-no D’s, test scores, involvement outside of class, evidence of hard work, rigor of curriculum Personal Insight Questions

6 California State University
Large, Midsize, Small Campuses that prepare students to enter the job market or professional school 23 Campuses – most impacted GPA – no D’s, test scores, course load, some campuses will do comprehensive review No personal statement
